Week 10 EOC: Benefits vs Features.
In my product, Captain Deez nuts has many different aspects that make up both benefits of the product, and certain features of the products. The features are actually quite simple, they're roasted Caribbean infused with an excellent taste of the finest rum the world has to offer. Part of the feature however are also parts of the benefit! When you eat Deez nuts, your getting exclusivity. These arent just your run of the mill snack. The benefit is the enjoyment that you have in participating in the experience that these particular nuts provide. These are meant to be enjoyed in certain types of atmospheres where you will already be having a good time. part of the benefit is that you are already takig a good, and enhancing it with a product that is a perfect compliment to complete the ultimate experience.

Objectives
Marketing objectives need to be seen as part of a hierarchy of
objectives, in the sense that they are shaped and informed by the
corporate objectives. A corporate objective influences a marketing
objective, which in turn shapes the marketing strategies and marketing
tactics employed:
Pretty much what the book is saying is that objectives are what you want your ultimate goals to be. You have to set these goals to know exactly what it is you are striving to accomplish in your company or product. Also its a good way to make things clear to your employees. Your giving them something to work for and toward to. It's great for moral when accomplishing these objective, and a great way of measurement in knowing what more needs to be done, if the particular objectives are falling short.

Marketing Strategy- Product
A Product market
is something that is referred to when pitching a new product to the
general public. The people you are trying to make your product appeal to
is your consumer market. For example: If you were pitching a new video game console
game to the public, your consumer market would probably be the adult
male Video Game market (depending on the type of game). Thus you would
carry out market research
to find out how best to release the game. Likewise, a massage chair
would probably not appeal to younger children, so you would market your
product to an older generation.
Marketing Strategy- Distribution
Marketing Strategy- Promotion
A promotional mix specifies how much attention to pay to each of the
five subcategories, and how much money to budget for each. A promotional
plan can have a wide range of objectives, including: sales increases,
new product acceptance, creation of brand equity, positioning, competitive retaliations, or creation of a corporate image. Fundamentally, however there are three basic objectives of promotion. These are:[2]
- To present information to consumers as well as others.
- To increase demand. 3To differentiate a product.
Marketing Strategy- Price
Make marketing mix decisions - define the product, distribution, and promotional tactics.Estimate the demand curve - understand how quantity demanded varies with price.
Calculate cost - include fixed and variable costs associated with the product.
Understand environmental factors - evaluate likely competitor actions, understand legal constraints, etc.
Set pricing objectives - for example, profit maximization, revenue maximization, or price stabilization (status quo).
Determine pricing - using information collected in the above steps, select a pricing method, develop the pricing structure, and define discounts.
These steps are vital in understanding how you want to set your price, and at what times you need to change your prices on your product. Its a very thin line that can make or break your product and company if you happen to have your prices set too high or too low. In my opinion, this sole element could be what makes or breaks a company. You can have an excellent product, but if its priced too high, people wont buy it. On the same token, you can have an awesome product, but if its priced too low, not only may people not take it seriously, but you could be losing out on valuable revenue.

Implementation Evaluation Control
List
the unsophisticated and sophisticated approaches to setting marketing budgets
and identify the most effective method. Chapter 20. What this is entailing in the strategy of budgeting to market your product, is that you need to decide what is most important when getting your product out there. You need to decide not only what it is that will get the most people to be able to see your product, but also what the best financial way to go about it would be. Think of the different options that you have at your disposal, and begin to elaborate on them to make them work for your budget, but also giving you the very most bang for your buck!.

Week 8 EOC: Creative Content
There are a few different elements that I plan to use as creative content for my final product. Ofcourse I know that through trial and error I may or may not use these different items, and i might actually stumble on a new or different one. The first thing that I know i am going to do is product photography of what my nuts will look like, and maybe even also of what the packaging for the nuts will resemble aswell. I know i will definitely have to be creative in these photographs for the marketing purposes of it not being to drab. I would also like to dabble in maybe filming a comercial. I havnt ever tried the filming aspect to something, but I think that with a little creativity ill be able to come upn with something pretty funny.
Week 8 EOC: The Adventure
It was the thirty seventh day of my journey, my travels had
led me to high sea around the Bermuda
triangle in the Caribbean. In the
distance I could see what looked to be a raft bearing a white distress
flag. I decided to sail in closer for a
better look. As I neared I could see
that on this raft was the most beautiful caramel skinned woman I had ever
seen! I called to her to see if she
needed help. “YES!”, she replied! I let her on board immediately. She then pleaded to me to help her! She said
she didn’t have much to offer me, but she did have “Deez nuts”. “Excuse me?!” I replied. “Deez Nuts!” she said, as she reached into
her Gucci purse and pulled out a handful of the most beautiful golden brown
roasted nuts. She then began to explain
to me that they were the very own family recipe of Captain Deez, a well known
and respected pirate in the Caribbean region.
She said the nuts where roasted with the flavors of the finest pirate
rum that can only be found in a secluded part of the Caribbean controlled by
the infamous Captain Deez. She didn’t
have to say it, but I could tell by the brand on her wrist that she was the
head wench of Captain Deez, and was more than likely trying to flee from him
and get to freedom. I immediately knew I
was in grave danger.
It wasn’t two seconds from the time I put up
the main sail to high tail it to safety that a cannon ball came crashing through
my hull. I turned to my six o’clock and
saw the mighty Grandus Shcrotus, a giant greek vessel that had been seized by
Captain Deez and made his own. I
immediately knew what I had to do! I
looked at the beauty of the woman that I had rescued and knew that he was
coming after his beloved treasure which I would never give up! Canon balls started raining down all around
my meek little vessel. So I did the only
logical thing that could be done. I
threw her overboard to make my boat lighter and faster to sail away to freedom
with Deez beloved nuts!

http://www.greygoose.com/LDA?returnURL=/Many things define people in different ways. Everybody has certain
products that they use to identify themselves with, certain things that
may be important to them that may not be important to others. The
following is a list of three different products that are important to
me, and that i can identify myself with.
The first product is my car. I drive a red 2006 Corvette Z06. I like that car because it is fast and sports cars interest me. Its a product that makes me feel good when I use it.
Secondly id my Apple Iphone. Im completely in love with my phone, and could not imagine myself a day in the regular world without such a tool at my disposal. Im loyal to the Iphone since the first generation has come out, and I've come accustomed to how it works. I would say that the Apple markieting plan sucked me in, and the quality of the product has kept me around for years.
My last product id Grey Goose, it is my preferred libation when I'm out socializing with friends, and I enjoy the way it makes me feel. I'm not sure if it's the taste, marketing strategy, or mixture of the rather that has been able to keep me a loyal customer, but whatever it is, it's working!

EOC Week 5
More and more employers are looking towards Facebook’s 750
million plus users to find new employees.
This new tactic of hiring definitely is threatening the old and
traditional job boards that we have come accustomed to in our society. Although it makes a lot of sense for
employers to go about this method simply because they would be saving money on
traditional services used to find employees, some people may think that they
are going too far, and that it could be considered an invasion of privacy to be
going through a person’s Facebook account.
Thus stated in this article from Joe Light of the Wall Street Jounal, “When
asked for comment, LinkedIn referred to its chief executive's remarks from last
week's conference call to discuss earnings. During the call , CEO Jeff Weiner
said users tell the company they want to keep their personal and professional
networks separate. Indeed, Jeff Vijungco, vice president of world-wide talent
acquisition for Adobe Systems Inc., said that in focus groups, prospective job
candidates were sharply averse to being contacted through Facebook for jobs”. I don’t think that as a potential employee it
is good for recruiters to judge me by my personal life, but I also understand
why they are doing it. It’s a line that
needs to be balanced I guess.
